Saturday am workout: 7 mile run
Saturday pm workout: 70 minute recumbent bike
LOTS of pushups
So, yesterday was a big study day for me. I had plans to review a lot of physics, which requires pretty intense focus on my part, so I was going to make myself go to the library, as I have a hard time staying focused at home. When at home, I just find a million distractions: cleaning, eating, grabbing more water, hanging out with Dean, etc. etc. I’m the world’s best procrastinator when working from home! haha. Yesterday, though, I just had absolutely NO motivation to head over to the library to study. It just sounded really depressing, so I decided to attempt to study from home.
Turns out, it worked out really well! I had to make it as “library-like” as possible: I closed the blinds, turned on the desk lights, wore my study headphones. I even packed my lunch and kept in the room with me so that I wouldn’t waste time making lunch and then sitting around doing nothing afterwards.
Because I get bored and tired sitting in one place for hours, especially in the afternoon, I played a little “game” with myself: on the hour, every hour, I had to do ten pushups.
I couldn’t believe how fast the time flew by! It would seem like I had just done ten pushups, and then it was time for me to do another set! I guess this proves that time can fly even when you’re not having fun! haha. It was refreshing, though, and I definitely felt more energized and awake after doing a set.
I think by the time I’m done with boards, I’m going to be in way better cardiac/stamina shape from all the working out I’m doing while studying and much better at doing pushups! haha.
That’s it for now, we gotta get ready for church, as it is one of the few Sundays we’ve actually been in town for it! I apologize for any typos, as I am writing this very quickly!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
